1.Summary
WaterSonic is a utility application that helps users push moisture from a device speaker, view a reference reading of environmental sound, and play ambient audio for sleep. WaterSonic does not require account registration. We do not sell personal information, we do not run advertising, and we do not use the data we receive to track you across other apps or websites.
This policy is written to be consistent with the App Privacy "nutrition label" we file in Apple App Store Connect for this application. Where this policy and the App Store label disagree, the more protective interpretation should apply, and we will correct the inconsistency.
2.Microphone Input
When you open the Noise Meter feature and start a measurement, WaterSonic asks for microphone permission. The audio stream is read on your device for the active session and used only to compute a live decibel reference value.
Audio is not recorded, not transmitted, and not stored by us, by Apple, or by any third-party processor. If you deny microphone permission, the Noise Meter will not function, but every other feature continues to work.
3.Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. To unlock and maintain Premium access, we use a third-party subscription infrastructure called Adapty (Adapty Pte. Ltd., https://adapty.io).
Adapty receives the following information about your transactions:
- the product identifier you purchased, for example
com.omniformlabs.watersonic.monthly; - subscription state (active, in trial, expired, refunded);
- transaction timestamps used for renewal and entitlement checks;
- renewal events relayed by Apple's App Store Server Notifications.
Adapty does not receive your Apple ID, your name, your email address, or your payment card information.
4.Identifiers
Adapty assigns each application installation a random, anonymous Adapty Profile ID. The Profile ID is used to know which device has Premium access and to restore purchases when you reinstall.
Adapty may also use Apple's per-vendor identifier (IDFV) to recognize the same device across launches of WaterSonic. The IDFV is not the advertising identifier (IDFA); it is not shared across apps from different vendors and cannot be used by other developers' apps to identify you.
5.Usage Data
Adapty collects events about Premium-related interactions in the application, such as:
- when a paywall is shown;
- which products are visible and which one is selected;
- whether the purchase flow is started, completed, or cancelled;
- restoration attempts.
These events are used to operate, debug, and analyze the subscription experience — for example, to confirm that the paywall is rendering correctly and that purchases are converting. They are not used for advertising and are not shared with advertising networks.
6.Diagnostics
Crash reports and basic performance signals from the application may be processed by Apple (through standard iOS crash reporting) and by Adapty (in connection with the SDK). Diagnostics are used to debug, stabilize, and improve the application. They do not contain the contents of any audio recording, message, or document.
7.Support Communications
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include in your message — typically your email address, the device model, the application version, and the issue you are reporting. We use this information only to respond to you and to maintain a record of the request.
8.Tracking
WaterSonic does not use the data above to track you across applications or websites operated by other companies. WaterSonic does not display advertising and does not use the IDFA. We do not invoke App Tracking Transparency and we will not ask you to grant tracking permission, because we do not need it.
9.Connectivity and Network Use
WaterSonic is designed to work offline for its core features. Specifically:
- Water Eject, Sleep, and Noise Meter run fully on-device and do not require internet access. They use audio synthesis and the microphone locally, with no outbound network traffic.
- The paywall, purchase, and restore-purchase flows require network access. Without connectivity, these screens display a loading state and then a retry option; the offline state never blocks free features.
- Premium entitlement is cached locally. If you have already subscribed, your Premium status remains available offline.
All outbound traffic uses HTTPS over TLS 1.2 or higher. The destinations are limited to Apple's App Store endpoints and Adapty's servers (api.adapty.io and related subdomains). The application does not perform background uploads of user content, audio, or contact data, and it does not access the local network, Bonjour, AirPlay discovery, or Wi-Fi SSID information.
10.App Store Privacy Label Mapping
For transparency, the table below mirrors the disclosure we file in App Store Connect under the "Data Not Linked to You" section.
| App Store category | What it covers in WaterSonic | Linked to you | Used to track you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Purchases — Purchase History | Product ID and subscription state via Adapty. | No | No |
| Identifiers — User ID | Random Adapty Profile ID. | No | No |
| Identifiers — Device ID | IDFV (per-vendor identifier). | No | No |
| Usage Data — Product Interaction | Paywall view / select / purchase events via Adapty. | No | No |
| Diagnostics — Crash Data | Crash reports via Apple and Adapty. | No | No |
| Diagnostics — Performance Data | SDK performance signals via Adapty. | No | No |
WaterSonic does not collect contact information, health and fitness data, financial information beyond what Apple processes for the purchase, precise or coarse location, photos or videos, audio recordings, contact lists, search history, browsing history, sensitive information, or any other data category not listed above.
11.Third-Party Services
- Apple App Store, StoreKit, and App Store Server APIs — distribution, purchase processing, subscription state. Governed by Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
- Adapty (Adapty Pte. Ltd.) — subscription delivery, paywall configuration, conversion analytics, crash and performance diagnostics. Governed by Adapty's privacy policy: adapty.io/privacy-policy.
12.How We Use Information
The limited information described above is used to:
- provide the application's functionality, including purchase, restore, and entitlement checks;
- support stability, debugging, and performance;
- respond to support requests;
- meet legal, security, and compliance obligations.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share data with data brokers. We do not use the data for behavioral advertising.
13.Data Retention
- On-device measurement data — microphone audio for the Noise Meter — is processed transiently and is not retained.
- Adapty profile, transaction, and event data are retained as long as needed to operate the subscription service and to meet legal record-keeping obligations.
- Apple-managed transaction records are retained per Apple's policies.
- Support email correspondence is retained as long as reasonably necessary to resolve issues, comply with legal obligations, or maintain customer support records.
14.Your Choices and Rights
- Microphone: you can deny microphone access in iOS Settings; every other feature continues to work.
- Subscriptions: you can manage or cancel subscriptions any time in your Apple ID account at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- Reinstall reset: uninstalling the application stops further data flow from your device. Records previously processed by us or by our processors may persist for the retention windows above.
- Access and deletion: if applicable law (including the EU and UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, and similar regimes) gives you a right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you, email sakasholy111@gmail.com with the subject line Privacy Request. Because the application does not require an account, we may need to ask for the Adapty Profile ID or other context to identify your records.
- Do Not Sell or Share: WaterSonic does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.
15.International Users
If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other regions with comparable laws, the controller of your data is Omniform Labs. Our trade representative contact, as published on the App Store listing under the EU Digital Services Act, is the same point of contact listed in section 18. Cross-border transfers, where they occur, rely on standard mechanisms permitted by applicable law.
16.Children's Privacy
WaterSonic is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law for independent digital consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through support email, contact us and we will delete it where required.
17.Security
We take reasonable steps designed to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure of the limited data we receive. No service can guarantee absolute security; you use the application at your own risk.
18.Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy when application features, legal obligations, or processing practices change. Material updates will be reflected with a revised effective date at the top of this page. The current version, dated April 25, 2026, supersedes all prior versions.
